Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dish Washer and Cleaner to join our child care team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the school's various settings, including the kitchen, classrooms and common areas as well as the playgrounds and perimeter of the building. This position requires a proactive individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to providing a clean and safe environment for both children and staff.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize all dishes from snacks and lunch for 150 children.
- Support cook with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including kitchen, classrooms, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and free from debris or contaminants.
- Interior - Hallways, bathrooms, offices, classrooms, multi purpose room and any other area assigned.
- Exterior - perimeter of school building, parking lot, playground, windows and any other area assigned.
- Empty trash from any and all trash receptacles.
- Dust furniture, windowsills, air vents and any other areas needed.
- Conduct daily building inspections, inside and outside, to identify and address issues.
- Sweep and mop all floors.
- Vacuum all carpets.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dish washing and cleaning.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality standards.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in the workplace.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
