Position Purpose

The Sales Analyst serves as the primary data partner and strategic ally of both the Sr Director of Sales and the Sales team entire. By providing accurate and timely sales data and analysis, the position supports forecasting, budgeting, and planning for the sales function. The Sales Analyst is a key liaison between CCBC wholesalers, wholesaler managers, and CCBC logistics and production staff. The Sales Analyst is charged with tracking, effecting, and directing rate of sale (ROS) and days stored inventory (DSI), as well as actively preventing and anticipating out-of-stocks.

Job Description:

1. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Manage and update sales reporting systems and gather, compile, and normalize raw data into a centralized data format to generate CCBC sales trend analyses.
  • Design and produce ad-hoc and user created reports incorporating multiple systems on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis and fulfill requests for ad-hoc analysis for various leaders.
  • Manage and analyze sales forecasts by SKU and key customers.
  • Conduct historical sales and distributor/retailer reporting and analysis, to uncover the causes of market trends.
  • Conduct research on industry trends and benchmarks and analyze, report, and make comparisons on market performance.
  • Create and deploy efficient in-market surveys to gather critical market insights from Commercial Sales Reps.
  • Perform independent market assessments and provide strategic sales recommendations as well as input on policies and procedures, based on findings and analysis.

2. Inventory Management

  • Collaborate with Sales Managers, Reps, and Production staff by providing timely, data-driven guidance to resolve order discrepancies to prevent out of stocks.
  • Manage and analyze sales forecasts by SKU and key customers, track, predict, and plan rate of sale increases.
  • Partner with Sales on the execution of sales strategies emerging from the ongoing analysis of sales and marketing data.
  • Evaluate and optimize sales strategies, processes, and policies to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with the Sr Director of Sales to develop and implement targeted marketing strategies and setting clear, measurable goals for sales reps.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in database management and software, including PowerBI, SQL, Excel, or Python.
  • Proficient in collecting, manipulating and interpreting large and complex data sets (using statistical and other mathematical methods to draw conclusions and make predictions).
  • Proven knowledge of sales operations, best practices, and trends.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand the goals and challenges of the sales organization in the craft beer industry

  • Ability to move 155 lb. keg to a two-wheeler and secure and lift same keg up onto another keg (stacking safely).
  • Must wheel double stacked kegs up to 100 feet, carry 55lbs in each hand 100 feet, and carry 155 lb. keg up one stair.
  • Must be able to push/pull weights up to 50 lbs. and maintain the grip strength required to carry 30 lb. cases.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs for loading tents, tables, beer, etc.
  • Demonstrate their ability to climb, kneel, crawl, twist, squat and reach overhead. The position requires frequent, constant standing and walking.
