Job Summary:
The Compliance Associate position plays a critical role within the Company in ensuring our collection staff adheres to legal and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for monitoring collection activities, conducting account reviews, approving daily letters, and providing guidance to ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor and review collection practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FDCPA, Regulation F, TCPA)
· Conduct reviews and risk assessments to identify potential compliance-related concerns.
· Assist in implementing compliance policies and procedures for the collection team.
· Investigate and escalate possible observations to the appropriate department.
· Maintain accurate compliance reporting and tracking and provide updates to management.
· Assist with the daily letter collection letter approval.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· High school diploma required.
· Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
· 2 years of experience in collections, compliance, or a related role (preferred).
· Prefer someone with knowledge of debt collection laws and industry standards.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
· Ability to commute daily to our Earth City, MO corporate office.
Type: Full-time
Hourly: $16 - $18 per hour
