Description
Email Management:
- Review emails regarding new business from the previous day.
- Respond to day-to-day client and patient inquiries professionally.
Client File Preparation:
- Identify and pull assigned client files for review and processing.
- Ensure all necessary documents are available and organized.
Insurance Verification:
- Obtain insurance information through the client portal or direct patient contact.
- Verify active insurance coverage and confirm claim submission details with the carrier.
File Maintenance:
- Maintain clean and up-to-date client files, ensuring proper status codes and Work In Progress (WIP) tracking.
Claims Submission:
- Mail bills to specific insurance companies for non-self-billing clients.
- Follow up with insurance companies to confirm claim receipt and ensure timely payment.
Payment Verification:
- Verify payments posted on the client portal.
- Confirm any outstanding patient responsibility after insurance payments are applied.
Communication:
- Send professional emails to clients and patients.
- Establish and maintain a friendly, professional working relationship with clients.
Administrative Proficiency:
- Efficiently use Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.
- Maintain a high level of organization to handle extensive follow-ups
Requirements
- Over 1 year of experience in collections and the customer service industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Hands-on experience in hospital billing and collections processes.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups, showcasing excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
- Skilled in assertiveness and persuasiveness to achieve positive outcomes.
- Proficient in computer systems with strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
