Description

  

Email Management:

  • Review emails regarding new business from the previous day.
  • Respond to day-to-day client and patient inquiries professionally.

Client File Preparation:

  • Identify and pull assigned client files for review and processing.
  • Ensure all necessary documents are available and organized.

Insurance Verification:

  • Obtain insurance information through the client portal or direct patient contact.
  • Verify active insurance coverage and confirm claim submission details with the carrier.

File Maintenance:

  • Maintain clean and up-to-date client files, ensuring proper status codes and Work In Progress (WIP) tracking.

Claims Submission:

  • Mail bills to specific insurance companies for non-self-billing clients.
  • Follow up with insurance companies to confirm claim receipt and ensure timely payment.

Payment Verification:

  • Verify payments posted on the client portal.
  • Confirm any outstanding patient responsibility after insurance payments are applied.

Communication:

  • Send professional emails to clients and patients.
  • Establish and maintain a friendly, professional working relationship with clients.

Administrative Proficiency:

  • Efficiently use Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.
  • Maintain a high level of organization to handle extensive follow-ups 

Requirements

  • Over 1 year of experience in collections and the customer service industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Hands-on experience in hospital billing and collections processes.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups, showcasing excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Skilled in assertiveness and persuasiveness to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Proficient in computer systems with strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
