Position Summary
The Employee Relations Consultant is responsible for the general management of the employee relations and HR operations processes and practices. Providing consultation and guidance to managers, delivering and ensuring appropriate responses to any related employment issues that arise, handling full cycle investigations and providing recommendations in partnership with HR and business leadership. The Employee Relations Consultant will contribute to the development and implementation of policies and practices that support a positive employment climate.
It is the responsibility of the Employee Relations Consultant to provide advice and counsel to managers and employees in the resolution of employee-related problems, discipline, and discharge. All duties are performed in accordance with Credit One Bank policies, practices and procedures. The incumbent establishes partnerships across the business to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The Employee Relations Consultant will lend critical support to the Assistant Vice President of HR Operations from an administrative, analytics, reporting, and policy enforcement standpoint.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Employee Relations & Compliance
Manage people-related issues with a detailed and solutions-oriented approach, including :
- Complex employee relations (ER) issues.
- Disciplinary actions and legal matters (e.g., harassment, discrimination, accommodations).
- Policy interpretation, application, and investigations.
- FMLA and ADA accommodations.
- Ensure appropriate actions are taken to address these issues while providing insight and feedback to managers and stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, county, and city employment regulations.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze turnover data, and provide actionable recommendations based on findings.
- Track employee relations and leave administration metrics weekly; conduct quarterly reviews to assess improvement opportunities.
