Position Summary
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Lead a team of fraud analysts working on multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Assess current state, define future state, and execute
- Monitor for emerging fraud trends within the portfolio
- Determine through analysis the optimal fraud risk management strategies and rules
- Communicate recommendations to senior and executive management
- Establish and balance priorities
- Partner and collaborate with various departments such as Customer Service, Operations, Compliance, Credit Risk, Customer Experience, and Technology
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or related field
- 10 years of strategy development and analytical experience in Fraud, Credit, Operational Risk or similar strategy environment
- Strong knowledge of fraud detection and prevention tools and strategies
- Experience in analyzing, recommending and managing fraud strategies
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Superior communication skills and political savvy to interact with Executive Management
- Ability to manage a team of 5 or more analysts
- Ability to proactively identify areas of opportunity and develop solutions
- Strong quantitative skills as this role will need to grow existing staff from rule-based analytics environment to advanced data sciences
- Experience using the Microsoft tool suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, SQL or a similar programming language
