Position Summary
The Business Services Representative (BSR) will play a key role in fostering relationships with small business owners within our local communities and our already existing business members. The individual will be responsible for understanding the financial needs of these businesses and providing tailored solutions, including a range of business banking products and services. The BSR’s expertise will help businesses thrive by assisting business owners achieve their short-term and long-term goals by providing the best financial solutions to help them meet their financial needs. As a trusted advisor, the BSR will contribute to the growth of the credit union’s small business portfolio while maintaining a high level of member satisfaction and compliance with relevant regulations. The ability to analyze financial information, assess risks, and communicate effectively will be essential.
Essential Functions & Additional Responsibilities
60% Sales and Service – Meet or exceed individual and team targets for business development, product penetration, membership growth and member satisfaction. Ensure that all interactions with small business members are professional, courteous, and focused on delivering outstanding member service. Address inquiries, resolve issues and maintain high member satisfaction levels within a timely manner.
25% Account Maintenance – Opens, maintains, and closes a wide variety of business accounts including but not limited to: savings, checking, certificate, and retirement accounts. Assist small business members with a wide range of services such as online and mobile banking, direct deposits, transfers, and account maintenance, while offering additional products and services. Assist member through various delivery channels including in-branch, phone, email, video, chat and SMS, ensuring professional and timely communication.
10% Resources and Support – Provides subject matter expert resource to branches, member contact center, and other business units on business accounts and policies and procedure. Follow through on sales referrals and build strong working relationships with business partners. Ensure compliance and regulatory protocols are adhered to and keeps manager apprise of concerns and necessary updates to policies and procedures.
5% Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
A high school diploma or G.E.D.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 1- 3 years of previous business services experience and knowledge of products and services in a financial institution setting preferred or equivalent experience.

- Demonstrate critical thinking and being self-reliant to better analyze and solve problems.
- Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and be agile to serve members and employees.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of organization’s Employee Handbook and policies.
