Position Summary
Enhances the quality of life for Credit Union members/team members by meeting or exceeding their service expectations. Responsible for maintaining and monitoring several non-operating system related software and processes as to maintain uninterrupted service to our members and staff. Researches and identifies various system and process related issues, finding root causes, designing, and then implementing a solution. Responsible for meeting with departments and business units regularly to identify inefficiencies and make recommendations on reconfigurations, modifications, and extensions of our systems to provide an improved process.
Essential Functions & Additional Responsibilities
45% - Business Analysis – Regularly meets with departments to evaluate new and evolving business needs. Applies broad and detailed knowledge of systems and vendors to make software or procedural recommendations, as well as and solving problems and gaining efficiencies. Partners with departments, and business units to communicate technological capabilities, while jointly working to identify efficiencies and opportunities for process improvement and change to maximize the value the Credit Union receives from our systems and applications. Writes and maintains both functional and procedural documentation on departmental procedure, system processes and automation.
35% - Application Maintenance and Monitoring – Regularly works to resolve various software related issues as identified by staff via a ticketing system, providing prompt and regular updates on the status of a resolution. Carefully installs, implements, updates, and configures non-operating system software, coordinating with staff and end users to minimize negative service impacts. Installs and implements code from programmers into the core banking software. Monitors systems and automation on a daily basis, troubleshooting identified issues, and then designing and implementing a solution while following departmental standards. Organizes and runs user acceptance testing (UAT) by writing and modifying UAT scripts, building a UAT team, and running regular UAT meetings.
15% - Data Analysis and Reporting – Provides data analysis on a variety of business-related data, often generated from multiple systems, tying that information together, and aggregating as needed to provide simplicity and clarity to Credit Union staff on particular business practices and products. Writes, edits, and publishes reports, utilizing a variety of tools, systems, and programming languages. Provides Credit Union staff with accurate and contextual analysis on reports and data, while communicating that analysis clearly and succinctly.
5% - Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field obtained through a formal 4-year program at an accredited educational facility preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience:
3-5 years of Information Systems experience in financial institution preferred. Power-On experience preferred.

• Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
