Location: Mooresville, IN
Purpose of the position
To provide professional customer service and collection recovery on unpaid municipal accounts assigned to CredStar Revenue Solutions.
Key responsibilities & duties
Handle inbound calls and make outbound collection calls according to all federal, state, and local laws.
All calls are required to be handled in a friendly but firm manner while following the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) guidelines, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and all other federal, state, and local laws.
Understanding the Mini Miranda and citing the following on all debtor contacts. “This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information will be used for that purpose.”
Utilizing CredStar Revenue Solutions approved notices for additional contact and collection attempts.
Handling all debtor inquires within 24 business hours. This includes but is not limited to email inquiries, voicemails, and inquiries through the website.
Maintains a calling pool of accounts by utilizing the approved internal collection procedures.
Outbound call goal of 125 calls per daily shift.
Documentation on the account of the phone call and outcome.
Monitoring broken promises daily.
Reviewing and recommending nonresponding accounts to the Managing Partners for next collection steps that may include state debt set off, legal assistance, garnishment of wages, etc.
Academic & trades qualifications
High School Diploma
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Work experience & skills
4 years customer service experience or relevant work experience
2 years third party collection agency experience preferred
Bilingual
Proficient in Microsoft programs
Ability to learn software programs quickly
Good communication skills
Ability to work in a high paced call environment
Ability to work individually and within a team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
