Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Midland, TX
Job Summary Responsible for developing new business and sales strategies.
Essential Duties
- Assesses the current marketplace and reports on market and competitive information
- Develops strategies for company growth
- Independent generation of ideas and solutions while collaborating with key stakeholders
- Researches, develops and presents business case for strategic options to include cost-benefit analysis and financial modeling
- Makes formal sales presentations, develops new customer base and fosters partnerships
- Provide strong account leadership through a consultative sales approach with accounts
- Successfully cultivates long-term relationships with existing and new customers
- Understands key business drivers of customer accounts in order to provide effective solutions
- Achieve and sustain revenue and customer targets
- Work well independently and as a team
- Provides excellent customer service
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum 10 years of oil and gas industry experience in successful sales required. Strong oil and gas field operations experience including knowledge in production chemical application and product offerings.
Travel Requirements: Required to travel as needed, including overnight stays. Expect 50% travel.
Financial Skills – Understands the financial implications of business decisions, monitors market competition, targets potential customers for business development, present revenue to leadership team.
Communication Skills – Effectively communicates with all levels of the workforce both internally and externally, demonstrates active listening skills, understands audience and tailors communication methods as needed, accepts feedback and provides constructive input. Strong quantitative, analytical, written and oral communication skills.
Language Skills: Ability to leverage experience and read audience to gain support and influence others. English language fluency in reading, writing and speaking. Bi-lingual beneficial.
Computer Skills – Efficiently navigate a web browser, mobile applications, Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint, One Note, etc.). Proficiency in designing spreadsheets, creating advanced formulas, charts and tables required. Must be able to design professional presentations.
Community Involvement – Expected to develop relationships with local organizations and leaders and to positively promote the company within the community.
Work Ethic – Be trustworthy, dependable, respectful, and truthful with a commitment to safety and excellent customer service. Follow company policies and procedures and take responsibility for your own actions.
