Our company is seeking a safety-conscious individual who has significant experience in using chemical treatments to encourage optimum lawn growth; provide thorough and effective weed control; perform eradication of destructive turf pests; all while helping to create amazing lawns, foliage and landscapes! This individual must be knowledgeable in this industry, be a good communicator and work well with others, as they may have occasional opportunity to communicate directly with customers while completing their tasks.
Job Experience and Requirements:
- Applicator licensed professionals, at least 1 year preferred (A&E Pesticide license).
- Fertilizer application, 3 years preferred.
- Lawn aeration and overseeding experience is a bonus.
- Required: must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Education: high school or equivalent.
- Must possess a strong work ethic, be dependable, reliable, organized, self-motivated and self-directed to maintain routes and schedules.
- Capable of operating technology-specific & inventory management software.
- Prefer strong chemistry, horticulture & biology knowledge, and interactions with each other and the environment.
Job Expectations:
- Inspect lawns & landscaping to determine proactive 3-season treatment plans.
- Mix, prepare and apply chemical pesticides, herbicides, fungicides & insecticides.
- Make applications via sprays, dusts, vapors or chemical treatment applications on lawns, foliage, trees & shrubs.
- Follow all application specifications while using ride-on sprayers & tank spraying.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds repetitively and perform physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Responsible for filling sprayer tanks according to formulas and navigating application spray equipment over designated areas.
- Maintain/clean equipment to ensure proper functioning & safely store supplies.
Notes:
- We will train and pay for certification through the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, depending on the applicant.
