Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance and care. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to enhance the beauty and health of our clients' properties. The Landscape Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall maintenance and improvement of landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn care tasks, including mowing, trimming, applying herbicide and fertilizing lawns.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Implement pest control measures to protect plants and lawns from infestations.
- Operate farm machinery as needed for larger landscaping jobs.
- Assist in the design and installation of landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
- Drive to job sites safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their landscaping needs.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular inspections and servicing.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of herbicide applications and practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with operating farm machinery is advantageous.
- Proficient in using both power tools and hand tools relevant to landscaping tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good physical stamina, as the role requires standing, walking, and lifting throughout the day.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
