You will provide personalized guidance, educate clients on benefits, and support them through the process of selecting and enrolling in plans. Your goal will be to offer excellent customer service and assist in building long-term relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Education & Enrollment:
- Educate prospective clients about different healthcare plan options, benefits, and the enrollment process.
- Conduct needs assessments to recommend the best insurance company and plan based on the client’s situation.
- Assist clients in completing applications and enrolling with the most appropriate insurance companies and plans.
- Client Interaction:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-ups.
- Answer questions and concerns regarding Medicare, Marketplace plans, coverage options, and costs.
- Provide guidance on plan renewal and make adjustments to clients’ coverage as necessary.
- Ensure clients understand their benefits, the network of providers, and how to use their insurance effectively.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and compliance standards in the sales process.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, applications, and enrollments.
- Ensure that all paperwork is submitted on time and in accordance with company policies and federal guidelines.
- Networking:
- Attend community events and networking opportunities to promote Medicare and Marketplace plans.
- Licensing: Must have an active state of Ohio insurance license in health or be willing to obtain one (Medicare Advantage and Marketplace certifications are a plus).
- Experience: Prior sales experience, preferably in health insurance, Medicare, or the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Medicare (Parts A, B, C, D) and ACA Marketplace plans. Knowledge of compliance regulations and eligibility requirements.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain complex healthcare options clearly and concisely.
- Strong negotiation, closing, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with a detail-oriented approach.
- Self-motivated and results driven.
- Technology: Proficiency in using CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and other digital communication tools.
- Flexible schedule with the option for remote or in-person sales.
