The Data Analyst is responsible for using data analytics and reporting to support the company's strategic goals and objectives. The Data Analyst will create and use analytical frameworks, monitor performance, and communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a degree in an analytical field, experience with data mining and reporting tools, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Identify and implement potential data analysis and reporting solutions that drive the company's performance and profitability.
Create analytical frameworks to evaluate different solutions to risks and opportunities.
Monitor performance of a business area and tests being performed in that business area. Draw insight from the monitoring to identify opportunities for business improvement.
Use analytical techniques, such as past performance, testing, statistical modeling, and financial modeling, to ground the value of different solutions.
Identify customer’s needs and wants and build reporting/data analysis solutions that meet or exceed them.
Communicate data analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a major with an analytical focus, such as Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, or Economics.
0-3 years’ experience performing analytical work.
Financial services/auto lending experience a plus.
Knowledge of data mining tools, such as SQL, SAS, R, and Python.
Knowledge of SSRS and Power BI reporting tools.
Strong analytical, results-focused, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
