Service Porter

Crescent Ford is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Service Porter to join our team! As a Service Porter, you will play a vital role in our service department by ensuring that vehicles are properly moved, maintained, and delivered to customers in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Movement: Safely move vehicles in and around the service department, parking lots, and customer areas as needed.
• Battery Checks: Perform regular battery checks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition, and replace or assist with the identification of vehicles needing battery service.
• Customer Service: Bring vehicles to customers at the service drive when service is complete, ensuring a positive experience and a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Assist in preparing vehicles for service by performing basic tasks such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and other routine maintenance checks.
• Lot Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient lot for vehicle storage and customer accessibility.
• Assist Technicians and Service Advisors: Support technicians and service advisors by helping with vehicle preparation and retrieval as requested.
• Keep Service Area Clean: Ensure that the service areas are tidy and free of debris, including the customer drop-off and pick-up areas.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role or in an automotive service environment is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and care (e.g., battery checks, tire pressure).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing great customer service.
