Objective / Purpose of Job
- Develop and maintain customer contacts in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing, as assigned.
- Aid in the development of equipment, tooling, data collection and analysis, operational processes and quality processes on current and future projects.
- Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to evaluate the feasibility and potential value of new products and customers.
- Aid in preparing budgetary process.
- Represent Sales Department at Engineering, Manufacturing and Production meetings.
- Involvement in Quality System reporting and improvements.
Specific Duties
- Continuous updating of customer item forecasts by account to assist Purchasing and Production efforts in scheduling resources and to reduce lead-times.
- Ensure initial purchase orders for new products are entered and scheduled in conjunction with Product Development Engineer.
- Aid in sales input for operating software.
- Identify new customers/products to support budgeted objectives.
- Develop customer quotations in conjunction with Product Development Engineer.
- Research and report on various market and competitive issues.
- Provide assistance to the Customer Service Representative as needed.
- Attend weekly Staff Meetings on behalf of the Sales Department and report on findings.
- Submit monthly reports for Quality System.
- Travel to customer(s) when necessary and feasible.
- All other duties as needed or assigned.

- Maintain files for Medical, Regulatory and FDA registrations
Communication Requirements
- Good organization skills so follow-up is completed on a timely basis to customers
- Must have a pleasant demeanor and excellent verbal and written skills.
- Must be able to develop and deliver effective presentations to customers, as well as answer any questions they might have.
- Must be able to communicate effectively to our customers via written communication, telephone and the internet.
- Provide direct communication to manufacturing, as needed.

- Understanding of applicable Corporate and Process Objectives and how position contributes to the fulfillment of these objectives

Substitution and Cross-Training Requirements
- Will learn Sales Order Entry to back up the Customer Service Representative.
Hiring Requirements
- Must effectively communicate both oral and written communications in a professional manner with all employees and customers
- Must be comfortable with making decisions
- Previous management experience is required, unless promoted from within the organization
- Must have three to five years previous experience in technical sales. Familiarity with Engineering principals and concepts is preferred
- Must be able to work with production and planning to establish accurate lead-times and shipping guidelines before making commitments to the customer
- Must be in agreement with Crescent Manufacturing Company’s Mission/Vision Statement and be willing to be an active participant in helping to meet the company goals
- Must have good organizational and planning skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 and detailed spreadsheet applications
