Heat Treat Operator - 2nd Shift

Training for this position will be conducted on day shift. There is a shift premium upon transfer to second shift.

Objective / Purpose of Job

• To operate a heat treat furnace with the skill and knowledge needed to consistently produce a quality product.

Specific Duties

*All specific duties will be trained on after hire.

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Use of job specific tools i.e. (micrometers, calipers, comparators, microscopes)
• Loading machines with job specific materials.
• Set-up, start-up, maintain and shut-down furnace lines.
• Identify any defects in product and inform management.
• Record inspection information on provided datasheets.
• Keep area clean and organized.
• Other work as assigned by the Supervisor.

Paperwork Requirements

• Completely fill out datasheets corresponding to the assigned product you are working on and turn in the datasheets to your Supervisor at the end of your shift.

Communication Requirements

• Effectively communicate the problems experienced and status of the production process to the supervisor and any setup or maintenance personnel assisting you.
• Inform supervisors of any maintenance related issues that may arise while running your machine to address the issue as soon as possible

Reporting Relationships

• This job directly reports to the Supervisor assigned to the shift.

Hiring Requirements

• High school or equivalent education level.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience (preference not a requirement).
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work with sharp objects in a safe manner.
• Must be in agreement with Crescent Manufacturing Company’s Quality Policy and be willing to be an active participant in helping to meet the company goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.43 per hour
