Job Title: Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater
Salary: $120,000 - $200,000
Location: Charlotte, Raleigh, Wilmington, Asheville
Crescit Executive Search is teamed up with a leading Civil Engineering consultancy who are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Engineer/Project Manager with 5 to 10 years of experience in designing and managing municipal wastewater projects. This role is an opportunity to apply your expertise in civil engineering to develop detailed plans for Wastewater Treatment Plants that make a difference in building a more sustainable America.
Duties:
- Provides technical and design expertise in support of water infrastructure projects, such as water and wastewater treatment, water distribution, and wastewater collection/pumping systems.
- Key responsibilities include performing preliminary and final engineering assessments, preparing reports, creating design drawings, developing technical specifications, and submitting permits for municipal engineering projects.
- Collaboration as a part of a project team is essential.
- Responsible for managing various tasks across multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring completion within the specified time frame and budget.
- Project Management Candidates: Responsibilities include overseeing all of the above, as well as:
- Client relations and negotiations (maintaining current client base while expanding the wastewater network).
- Mentoring Junior Engineers and Project Engineers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with NC PE registration or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity.
- Technically proficient, a collaborative team player, and strong communication skills are essential. Self-driven, capable of working independently to meet deadlines and complete tasks.
- In-depth knowledge of utilities.
- Experience in utility design for water and wastewater, with a solid understanding of current regulations and standards.
- Project Management Candidates: Qualifications & Skills include all of the above, as well as:
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects, balancing technical design oversight, business development, and client/project management duties.
