We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team at Creston Community School District. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school buildings and grounds.
In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, waxing, and dust mopping assigned areas, as well as removing trash from rooms and buildings. You will also be responsible for scrubbing and cleaning toilets, dusting furniture, walls, windowsills, and other woodwork, and washing windows, walls, and woodwork.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. You should also have general knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment, as well as the ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment and materials.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, parents, and third-party contractors.
This role requires some physical exertion, including regular exertion of up to 10 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force, and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force.
