We are looking for 2 account representatives for our office in St. Louis, MO to help us grow business in 2025 and beyond. Our reps provide our customers with outstanding service, assisting with instrument cross referencing, pricing, providing shipment tracking and being One Source for any of the customer’s needs.
Account Representative
Essential functions:
Answer incoming phone calls and transfer calls to other reps, if appropriate
Process customer orders for ophthalmic instruments, samples and literature
Grow sales to existing customers (you'll be provided a customer book of business)
Take customer orders for repairs and potential returns
Handle requests for customer information
Make outgoing calls to customers and check on customer satisfaction, notify of delayed shipments, extended wait times on products ordered, etc.
Log customer information
Follow up with customers through telemarketing and other software programs including our CRM program to expand customer into additional product lines
Update all customer data as it changes
Assist other representatives as needed
Assist management team on assigned projects
Assist administrative team with quarterly inventory, file maintenance, and occasionally shipping
We strive to cross promote other products or product lines to our customers. We will train on all products lines; ophthalmic experience is not necessary.
Experience:
Previous customer service and /or sales experience preferred. Pay based on experience.
Knowledge:
Basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required. A skills test will be administered prior to a job offer.
Education:
High School Diploma/GED or higher
Skills:
Excellent listening and communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Attention to detail required
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 7am to 3:30pm with some flexibility
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
