Job Summary:
As a Hotel Restaurant Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the bar area operates smoothly. You will have extensive knowledge of drink recipes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Greet guests, take beverage orders, and provide recommendations based on guests’ preferences.
- Engage with guests, providing information on drink selections and menu items, as well as creating a positive and friendly environment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, arranging glassware, and cleaning spills.
- Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible service in compliance with local alcohol regulations.
- Accurately process transactions, including taking payments and balancing the cash register at the end of each shift.
- Check identification of guests to ensure they meet the legal drinking age requirements.
- Collaborate with the restaurant team to ensure food and beverage orders are served efficiently.
- Manage bar inventory and report shortages or maintenance needs to management.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests promptly and professionally.
- Participate in training sessions, meetings, and other events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role required, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting.
- Extensive knowledge of drink mixing and serving, including classic and contemporary cocktails.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
- Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs during shifts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older and hold a valid alcohol service permit
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
