What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detention Assistant position at Crete Carrier Corporation?
Performs supportive duties in the processing of detention pay, including auditing trips for detention accuracy and ensuring appropriate compensation is paid timely.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Associate’s degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Audits driver delay times at customer locations to ensure accurate detention submissions.
- Monitors and approves driver pay for detentions.
- Assists billing department when necessary.
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships.
- Receives and carries out instructions.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Requirements: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Communicates effectively.
- Exhibits ability to read, write, talk, and hear; add, subtract, multiply, and divide; and lift and/or move up to 10 pounds as required.
- Uses computers and software programs proficiently.
