Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our Medium Projects (TI) and Small Projects (Service) divisions. The ideal candidate will manage the execution of new construction and tenant improvement projects, as well as commercial service, drain cleaning/jetting, and backflow testing. The Operations Manager will be responsible for supervising estimating, project management, and warehouse personnel, ensuring smooth daily operations, meeting client expectations, and maintaining safety and quality standards across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage the operations of both the Medium Projects and Small Projects divisions.
- Supervise and support estimators, project managers, warehouse personnel, and field staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure clear communication, coordination, and alignment between all departments and project teams.
- Medium Sized Projects Division:
- Oversee the management of new construction and tenant improvement projects ranging from 50K – 1.5 Million, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
- Monitor project performance and progress, adjusting resources or timelines as needed to ensure successful project delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Medium project clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed efficiently and successfully.
- Small/Service Projects Division:
- Supervise managers of all commercial service work, including drain cleaning/jetting and backflow testing services.
- Oversee the scheduling, dispatching, and execution of small projects to ensure they meet customer expectations and are completed on time.
- Develop processes for ensuring the highest quality of service delivery, from project initiation to completion, while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
- Estimating & Project Management:
- Collaborate with estimators to ensure accurate, timely, and competitive project estimates for both medium and small/service projects.
- Oversee project managers to ensure proper planning, execution, and monitoring of all projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide ongoing support to project managers by addressing issues, resolving conflicts, and offering strategic guidance to meet project goals.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Manage warehouse operations to ensure timely procurement, organization, and delivery of materials and equipment required for ongoing projects.
- Oversee warehouse manager, ensuring the proper stocking of materials and tools, truck stock inventory as well as minimizing waste and excess inventory.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely and efficient material delivery to job sites.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Promote and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members, both in the office and on job sites.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to plumbing work, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- See that regular safety inspections and training to ensure a culture of safety and adherence to regulations.
- Process Improvement & Reporting:
- Continuously evaluate operational workflows and procedures to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Develop and implement best practices for project execution, service delivery, and resource management across the entire company.
- Provide regular progress updates and performance reports to upper management regarding project timelines, financial status, and team performance.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the commercial plumbing or construction industry, with a strong background in large or medium sized TI projects and commercial services. 10 years preferred with existing relationships.
- Experience overseeing large-scale construction projects, tenant improvements, and service-oriented projects.
- Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams across estimating, project management, and service delivery functions.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience or certifications will also be considered.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, commercial construction, project management principles, and plumbing industry regulations.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software, MS Office Suite, and financial management tools. Blue Beam, Power BI.

Compensation:
- $120,000 to $140,000 performance based incentives and bonuses.
