Our Project Controller – Energy Services will play a key role in managing Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, analyzing project financials, and supporting operational teams to maintain margin integrity and forecasting accuracy. Reporting to the VP of Energy Services, this role supports all Crete United Energy Projects & Services and helps drive operational and financial excellence across the portfolio.
Key Deliverables
- Accurate monthly WIP reporting and revenue recognition
- Clear and timely financial insights for project teams and leadership
- Forecasting support and variance analysis on cost and margin performance
Position Responsibilities
- Manage monthly WIP reporting and job cost analysis across active projects
- Track budget-to-actual performance, cost-to-complete, and margin projections
- Support project managers in financial reviews, forecasting, and change order tracking
- Assist in revenue recognition and cash flow tracking, aligned with contract terms
- Monitor project setup, billing schedules, and compliance with accounting practices
- Improve financial visibility through standard reporting tools and best practices
- Collaborate with Accounting and Operations to reconcile project data and resolve discrepancies
- Support the use of Spectrum ERP across divisions
Position Requirements
- 5 years of experience in project controls, project accounting, or financial analysis in a construction, MEP, or energy services environment
- Familiarity with WIP reporting, earned value tracking, and cost forecasting
- Experience with project-based accounting software such as Trimble Spectrum or equivalent
- Strong Excel skills and ability to manipulate large data sets and financial models
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing timelines and accuracy
