Job Description
The Lamination department is responsible for the 1st part of the manufacturing process. This includes layering fiberglass onto molds using various methods. These methods include fiberglass mats, cloths, and core materials for infusion, as well as rolling out a fiberglass and catalyst mixture sprayed onto a mold using a chop gun. Other tasks may be included in your daily tasks depending on the production needs of the company.
Daily Functions
· Layer fiberglass onto molds using various methods.
· Cut fiberglass sheets as needed.
· Mix chemical catalysts and apply as needed to the fiberglass mold.
· Run a chop gun while regulating catalyst mixture to spray evenly onto mold surfaces for rolling.
· Install any needed stringers and/or sub-flooring during the lamination process.
· Inspect for quality and check for air bubbles in the fiberglass.
· Inspect, clean, and assemble mold prior to gel coating.
· Apply waxes to molds and putties for reinforcement as needed.
Requirements
· Ability to wear correct PPE and follow safety regulations
· Ability to follow a schedule
· Detail and Quality oriented
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Previous relevant experience preferred, but not required
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
