What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing and Coding Specialist position at Crew & Boss Eye Associates?
We are a busy ophthalmologist practice seeking a motivated and experienced individual to utilize skills in medical billing and collection operations. As a vital member of our team, you will utilize skills in collections, medical office procedures and excellent data entry skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: coding and filing of medical claims, insurance prior authorizations, patient collections, follow up on accounts receivables and insurance denials. Utilization of numerous insurance websites along with a familiarity of insurance plans and benefits. The right candidate must have a strong background in verbal and written communication. The ability to interact effectively with patients and be familiar with general office procedures and equipment is required. This individual would possess high level organizational skills and oversee the functions of the revenue cycle process while working independently under the direction of the billing manager. Experience in Medical Billing is preferred.
