- Lead and manage the onboard IT team, including network administrators, systems engineers, help desk technicians, and other IT personnel, to ensure the efficient operation of shipboard IT systems and services.
- Maintain and support shipboard network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, satellite communications, and internet connectivity, to provide reliable and high-speed connectivity for guests and crew members.
- Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to protect shipboard IT systems and data from cybersecurity threats, malware, and unauthorized access, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Manage IT procurement, vendor relationships, and budgeting processes to support the acquisition, deployment, and maintenance of hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment onboard.
- Provide technical support and assistance to guests and crew members regarding IT-related inquiries, issues, and requests, and ensure timely resolution of IT service tickets and support tickets.
- Plan and execute IT projects and initiatives to enhance onboard technology capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and support business objectives, such as system upgrades, software deployments, and network expansions.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of shipboard IT systems, equipment, and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement, optimize performance, and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with shore-based IT teams, corporate headquarters, and external partners to coordinate IT initiatives, share best practices, and leverage technology solutions across the fleet.
