CRF – Celebrating 45 Years of Excellence in Behavioral Health Services in San Diego County!
Hours: 40 hours per week. Clinic hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Wednesday, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm.
Pay Rate: $38.82 to $40.86 per hour
Duration: 4 months (5/12/25 to 9/12/25), depending on program needs
Education: Master's degree in a mental health-related field, such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required
Licensure: License-eligible or registered in California with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or Waivered Psychologist with the California Board of Psychology required

As a Clinician I - Older Adult, you will:
- Primarily provide services for clients in the older adult population.
- Conduct initial behavioral health assessments for clients, utilizing a psychosocial rehabilitation focus and dynamic team-based approach.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
- Develop and update individual treatment service plans for clients.
- Create discharge plans and provide linkage to other support services within the community.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred
- Bilingual Arabic or Chaldean preferred, but not required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
- Ability to pass criminal/background clearance

Heartland Wellness Recovery Center is one of our Adult Outpatient programs (AOP), that provide behavioral health services including psychiatric and clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing medication services, individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, mobile outreach, vocational support, and peer support. We deliver fully integrated services to adult clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance use disorders.
All of our outpatient programs also provide full-time walk-in services. Our programs utilize evidence-based practices to assist our clients in reaching their goals and to live the highest quality of life while managing their mental illness.
