Position Summary :

The Senior Director, Sales Operations, is responsible for enhancing the effectiveness of the sales team and coordinating effective communications with the field. It also acts as a chief of staff for the VP of National Sales. This role is integral in facilitating effective communication between sales leadership and field teams.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities :

These may include but are not limited to :

  • Coordinate logistics and planning of national sales meetings, including venue selection, agenda creation, and materials preparation.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to define objectives, key messaging, and overall strategy for meetings.
  • Organize and facilitate regional business reviews, ensuring alignment with national strategies and goals.
  • Develop and distribute newsletters that communicate key updates, successes, and resources to the sales teams.
  • Communicate meeting details and important information to the field sales teams to ensure participation and engagement.
  • Gather feedback from sales teams post-meeting and regional reviews to help build a culture of collaboration and continuous excellence.
  • Support the creation of presentations, training materials, and handouts tailored for the sales team.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics related to meeting outcomes, regional performance, and newsletter engagement.
  • Partner with Sales Training and HR to coordinate onboarding of sales team members.
  • Coordinate with marketing and training departments for any deployment of materials.
  • Ensure appropriate reporting of compliance issues for the field.
  • Track sponsorships and local events.
  • Support head of sales with budget management, key presentations, and team performance.
  • Manage and coach direct reports and provide career development opportunities in support of their individual development plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience :

Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of pharmaceutical sales operations experience and a minimum of 10 years in supervisory / leadership role.
  • A minimum of 10 years of event planning and / or project management experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools (i.e. Planisware, SmartSheet, etc.)
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment :

    Physical Activities :

    On a continuous basis, sit at a desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and responsibilities of this job.     You may be required to travel for up to 25% of your time.

    The Anticipated Base Salary Range : $232,000 - $290,000

    In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. We also provide top-notch health insurance plans for employees (and their families) to include medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance, 20 days of PTO, 10 paid holidays, and a winter company shutdown.

    The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education. Crinetics Pharmaceuticals is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
