Janitor/Cleaner
At Crisp Environments, we are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to perform day-to-day building cleaning. Overall duties will include removing debris, maintaining common room areas, restocking bathrooms, and responding to all cleaning emergencies.
The ideal candidate will be exceptionally reliable, organized, dedicated, able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously and a team player. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing office spaces, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and public areas. You must be willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises
Performs custodial maintenance duties at client site as assigned in accordance with the established procedures for each account in order to keep buildings in a clean and orderly condition. Duties of the janitor position will vary at each account location and will be performed as assigned by management. Specific duties of the janitor position may include but are not limited to: Working various shifts and schedules and performing other related duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to: Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
- Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
- Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal.
- Unlocks doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.
- Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Assists in on-the-job training of new staff on routine procedures.
- Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements.
- May provide vendors with access to areas for cleaning and may answer basic questions.
- May report issues with vendors to supervisor.
- May assist or perform minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, or other similar activities.
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Attends safety and training sessions.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Employee will conduct company business and work-related tasks at an onsite (Crisp Environments office) and/or offsite (remote) location. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to cleaning chemicals.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills-Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to speak simple sentences.
Reasoning Ability-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
