The Scanning Production Associate role includes various tasks related to the scanning of documents for digital archiving. Responsibilities can include document preparation, Small Format and Large Format scanning, Quality Control Checks, Indexing, and Record Management. The Scanning Production Associates requires the ability to understand and comply with the individual requirements for each client and project.
Responsibilities
o Document Preparation:
- Prepping documents for scanning; including the removal of staples (in some cases with pliers), removal of paper clips, separating covers and bindings using various cutting tools, inserting record separator sheets.
- Repair torn or damaged documents using tape or a copy machine.
- Copying documents using a pen or copy machine.
- Tracking production time using a Barcode Scanner.
- Packaging documents for safe storage using rubber bands.
- Ability to lift boxes up to 65 pounds.
o Small Format Document Scanning:
- Using various document scanning hardware (Kodak, Canon, Fujitsu), to digitize prepared documents for archiving.
- Digital Document Quality Checks using software on a windows-based system.
o Large Format Document Scanning:
- Prepping Large format documents (Blueprints, Building Plans, Artboards (11”x17” - 32”x46”) for scanning; including the removal of staples (in some cases with pliers), removal of paper clips, separating covers and bindings using various cutting tools, inserting record separator sheets.
- Using various document scanning hardware (Rowe, WideTEK, Context Azon), to digitize documents for archiving.
Qualifications
- Highly proficient in oral and written communication in English.
- Ability to lift to 65 pounds
- Must be able to operate and use office tools and equipment, including but not limited to staplers, staple removers, hole punch and binder clips
- Must be able to remove documents from boxes, files, folders, etc.
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy and completeness
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
- Document scanning experience a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
