CNC Machinist Job Summary
Crissair, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to work on 1st or 2nd shift in our precision manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in CNC Lathe setup to produce high-quality aerospace parts.
- Tend machine operations to ensure continued production and inspect quality of work using hand tools and optical comparators.
- Create and edit manual data input (MDI) machine tool code at the machine control and make necessary offsets to adjust machines.
- Generate and document SPC data as required and assist operators and trainees in learning proper shop procedures.
- Identify and document lean process improvement ideas.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and six months to a year related experience or training.
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write in simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- OCP Certification and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Blueprint reading skills and proficiency in ERP/Inventory systems.
