Compensation: $157,858 to $170,000 annual salary depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Marketing for CRISTA Ministries is responsible for developing and executing effective fundraising and marketing strategies for the individual ministries as assigned by the CDO. Focus on building brand awareness, acquiring new donors and strengthening donor retention efforts. Hire, train and lead a team of marketing and fundraising professionals, guiding them to effectively manage the day-to-day marketing needs for each ministry. Collaborate closely with Resource Advancement Senior Leadership and ministry leadership to ensure the successful execution of strategies. Oversee portions of the marketing budget, making sure that marketing and fundraising goals are met in alignment with CRISTA’s overall mission and vision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
DUTIES
Christ-centered Leadership
  • Serve as Vice President of Marketing within CRISTA Ministries to help accomplish the overall vision and mission for CRISTA and its ministries in alignment with CRISTA’s values and Kingdom first culture.
  • Provide God honoring leadership and effective decision making that is informed by prayer.
  • Prayerfully lead and establish strategic plans for organizational growth and success of CRISTA.
  • Grow in personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Speak, act and counsel with wisdom and grace.
Staff Leadership and People Management:
  • Instill a leadership culture of Transformative Performance Management for all staff.
  • Recruit and hire qualified and competent staff; train, disciple, assign, transfer, and promote employees to serve the best interests of the Marketing Department.
  • Take time to build personal connections with staff by supporting their interests and understanding their motivations, strengths and goals.
  • Empower staff by collaborating and assigning significant responsibilities.
  • Ensure systematic performance evaluation of Camps personnel and initiate corrective action as necessary.
  • Encourage and support continuous learning and career development by providing training, mentoring and ongoing educational opportunities.
  • Actively seek different perspectives to ensure all voices are heard in decision making processes.
  • Develop and empower staff to work efficiently and grow in their skills.
  • Lead directors, managers and specialists to execute marketing and fundraising projects.
Marketing and Fundraising Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop, execute the ensure the success of the annual marketing and fundraising strategy and goals for assigned ministries.
    • Create annual, multi-million-dollar revenue-generating, fundraising strategies and campaigns for World Concern and CRISTA local ministries as assigned.
    • Collaborate with RA Leadership and executive leadership to further the mission of World Concern and develop the fundraising budget.
    • Collaborate with RA Operations, Creative House, Donor Relations and external agencies to execute fundraising strategies.
    • Acquire new donors and cultivate existing donors.
Marketing Strategies for Service Ministries:
    • Develop and execute marketing strategies for service revenue ministries.
    • Build industry-leading lead generation programs for CRISTA local ministries.
Marketing and Branding Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the ministry teams to uncover insights and strategies to develop.
    • Implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products, internally and externally.
Strategic Marketing Plan Development:
    • Lead the strategic development of marketing plan campaigns.
    • Work closely with clients, management, Creative House, and external partners, to create an effective and efficient marketing strategies focused on growing audiences.
Market Research and Analysis:
  • Understand and interpret key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends.
  • Translate results into actionable marketing strategy insights by identifying key trends and opportunities, targeting market initiatives and analyzing performance metrics.
Budget Management and Reporting:
  • Manage and oversee portions of the marketing and fundraising budgets.
  • Monitor fundraising efforts and report on monthly progress toward annual goals.
  • Collaborate with RA Leadership Team to formulate contingency plans when metrics indicate revenue and/or production goals are at risk.
  • Participate and contribute to RA and/or World Concern staff meetings and devotions, Resource Advancement project production meetings, and creative planning meetings for appropriate campaigns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith, Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC) and core values.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
CHRIST CENTERED
  • Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
  • Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc).
  • Prayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
  • Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
  • Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
  • Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
  • Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
EXPERIENCE
  • 10 years’ experience in a non-profit organization or marketing agency leading fundraising and marketing efforts, measurable success in multiple facets of direct response fundraising and donor acquisition, including successful strategy setting, budgeting, and implementation. Five years of senior management experience.
SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
  • Experience with donor management systems
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
  • Demonstrated understanding of how changing donor behaviors are impacting direct marketing channels.
  • Advanced knowledge of current and effective direct response marketing techniques and best practices, including emergency response fundraising.
  • Ability to communicate confidently, collaboratively, and effectively with the leadership team, staff, donors, and suppliers; must have exceptional written, oral, and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to identify measurable outcomes and utilize strong analytical skills to maximize ROI for each channel.
  • Capacity to complete hands-on management of multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-moving and highly complex organization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
  • Master’s degree in related discipline
SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar enterprise-level donor management system
