The Legal Secretary will assist the Attorney and Paralegal in providing administrative support. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- File legal documents with the court, including pleadings, motions, and other legal papers.
- Retrieve documents from the court, such as court orders, transcripts, and case files.
- Serve legal papers to opposing parties and witnesses.
- Assist attorneys with document preparation and organization.
- Communicate with clients and attorneys regarding case updates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and billing records.
- Provide administrative support to the law firm, such as answering phones and greeting clients.
- Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings as needed.
- Communicate with potential clients and setting up consultation appointments with the attorney
