The Account Specialist position is a key team member in the daily operations of the Corporate Work-Study Program (CWSP). This individual will serve as a Cristo Rey representative to an assigned portfolio of CWSP business partners and manage corporate accounts through developing and maintaining working relationships with CWSP supervisors and decision makers. This role will require proactive customer service to achieve renewal of business partner contracts. He or she will be motivated by the mission of the school and by the opportunity to help enhance an institution that has a real and lasting positive impact on the greater Kansas City community.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage portfolio of partner relationships and student work teams employed at those partners
Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate with internal departments to resolve client issues effectively
Track and report key account metrics
Ensure partner satisfaction through regular professional communication and follow up
Upkeep administrative information within various systems to support Account Managers and the entire CWSP department
Gain proficiency in Salesforce, task management, and B2B sales
Working with the Director of Operations, facilitate retraining and remediation programs for students as needed based upon supervisor feedback, observations from site visits and performance evaluations
Foster excellence in client relationships to cultivate enduring account relationships and maximize retention through attentive service and effective problem resolution
Assist in developing and executing the Summer Training program, designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge needed for workplace success.
Guide and assist students and parents through the necessary job onboarding prerequisites mandated by our client accounts
Prepare students for work at morning check-in, ensuring uniform expectations are met and a timely arrival to students assigned transportation
Complete timely and regular follow-ups on timecard submissions and evaluation feedback by liaising with Supervisors, students, and parents / guardians
Using established documentation processes, identify and proactively address student needs to ensure their ability to excel in work assignments
Work collaboratively with Academics, School Administration departments, and Transportation to support student success in both school and the workplace
Model career readiness competencies in demeanor, dress, attitude, and work ethic
Enforce policies and structures to ensure a high level of student performance, programmatic quality control and healthy client relationships
Nurture an environment where commonalities and differences among people are recognized, and to be a champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices
Contribute to the organization by actively participating in assigned tasks, such as attending school events and / or assisting with event planning and execution
Build relationships with and coach students towards excellent performance at
their work placement
Provide resources to, conduct site visits with, share best practices, and monitor
progress of partner supervisors and students in order to ensure placement
success
Build strong relationships with partner supervisors, anticipate needs of and effectively respond to supervisors managing student workers
Drive student work placement matching conversations and onboarding for students / supervisors within portfolio
Monitor timecard and performance evaluation feedback and implement interventions with students
Provide program leadership and logistics support during Morning and / or Afternoon CWSP Routines (students departing for and returning from work)
Lead student professional development focused on college and career readiness
topics, including instructing students in a classroom setting on a regular basis
Build positive relationships with students to help enhance overall professionalism and preparedness for college and career
Provide direct support to students through positive reinforcement and constructive interventions in order to help ensure continuous improvement in professional skills and work performance
Communicate with families regarding student performances via phone, email and face-to-face meetings as needed
Provide direct supervision and support to students who are in-house on their work days
Actively assist in CWSP-driven events
Work with CWSP team to identify and codify best practices for student and partner support
Develop tools that the CWSP team and supervisors can use with new and evolving partners
Assist with department initiatives around creating student worker job description resource or Book of Jobs for CWSP Partners and new prospects
Maintain and update supervisor-facing CWSP resources and develop new resources for partners to uses
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities :

Experience in successfully managing complex relationship portfolios with diverse stakeholders

Basic knowledge of database management such as Salesforce, Google Drive, and other information management systems

Demonstrated record of effective student support with middle school, high school or college students; expertise with underserved communities preferred

Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Knowledge of modern office equipment and software
Flexibility in work schedule to include some evening and weekend work
Event planning and implementation abilities
Strong organizational skills and attention to details
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations
Education and Experience :
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of two years of professional work experience preferred
Valid driver's license required
Teaching / facilitating and curriculum development experience strongly desired
Experience supporting partnership work in nonprofit or education environment
Business background in customer / client service a plus
