Building Maintenance Technician Responsibilities and Duties
We are a Growing Property Management Company in Cape Coral is looking for qualified maintenance technicians to join our team. The applicant must have a reliable vehicle, preferably a truck or van, and your own basic power tools. Applicant must be skilled in all aspects of maintenance and construction, to include Painting, Electrical, Plumbing, Concrete work, Repairing and building Fences, Siding, Stucco, Drywall, etc.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, light electrical, pool equipment, carpentry and other building items in communities. Communicate with management about any work that requires outside expert assistance
- Receive and respond to reports of mechanical or maintenance issues
- Able to operate cell phone with apps, upload and download pictures, receipts and notes from job sites to a maintenance application including record of hours and drive times
- Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects
- Light plumbing and electrical
- Fence repair and rebuild, stucco repair, carpentry, sheet rock repair. Paint inside and outside
- Be able to lift at least 60lbs, climb ladders, operate hand tools
- Be a self-starter with time management skills, responsible to account for all billable hours
- Maintain corporate safety procedures at all times and comply with access control regulations
- Observe as needed fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems within the structure
- Lighting checks and Roofing
Building Maintenance Technician qualifications and skills
- Troubleshoot and assess problems
- Determine materials and time necessary to complete repairs
- Operate pressure washer
- Complete all aspects of Building maintenance from wall and roof repair to hanging a door or replacing a faucet or photo cell
- High school diploma/GED required
- 4 years’ building maintenance experience
- Willingness to inspect and evaluate all aspects of a building
- Must have the ability to climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs. and climb onto ladders
- Own a reliable presentable truck or van
- Own all tools necessary to perform repairs
