What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist position at Crocker Veterinary Care?
We are looking to hire another vet assistant/receptionist for our clinic! We like to cross-train for this position so ideally we are looking for someone that is experienced with customer service and has some animal experience! We are a mixed-practice so you will be working with large and small animals. We can easily train those less experienced and would be glad to do so! We have a rotating on-call schedule that last one week, rotates typically every 4 weeks between staff for the vet on call. The on call hours are M-F 5:30-9pm, Sat. 9am-9pm, and Sun. 1-6pm and you are compensated for each call you take. The staff also rotate kennel weekends for these on call rotations and your on-call weekend is the same as your kennel weekend. Our after hours on call is not overly bombarded with calls, typically only getting 1-2 calls per week if that. Your work schedule will include 4.5 days per week, our business hours are M-F 7:30-5:30 with an hour break for lunch. Discounts for services are include, vacation, and PTO. Higher hourly rates are given to people that have proven experience, however opportunity for pay raises occur frequently if staff are willing to be trainable.
