Cart / Range Attendant

The ideal candidates for theses position are individuals that golf and enjoy customer service. Extra benefits include free golf, free practice facility balls and use, and discounted merchandise and food and beverage. This is NOT a job posting for a beverage cart operator.

These are seasonal positions with the potential to stay on the payroll through the winter as needed.

Base Pay Rate starting at $7.25 with built in gratuity sharing as well as potential for cash tips

Job Summary

As a Cart Attendant, you are the guests’ first impression of our golf club. You set the tone for their experience by being friendly and welcoming. You are responsible for ensuring that our golf guests have a memorable golf experience by providing a cheerful assistance with the guest's equipment.

Responsibilities

· Greet guests arriving at the bag drop

· Ask guests their information about the tee time and name; relay information to the starter

· Guide guests on where to go and show them where everything is located

· Assist with guests’ bags and any other acceptable items from their car

· Always offer to take their bags out to their vehicle for them, even if they initially do not want any help with cleaning their clubs

· Engage in conversation and make them feel welcomed

· Always give them your name to seek if they need anything else or have any questions

· Ensure that guests’ experience exceeded their expectations

· Never allow a guest to leave the property with a bad experience unaddressed

· Handle any guest complaint as it arises

· Notify a Supervisor/Manager of a complaint so that they can reconcile it with the guest

· Make sure the guests have all of their personal items from the golf cart before they leave

· Hand out any flyers and upsell specials in the Pro Shop

· Maintain every cart clean, dry, and free of any leftover garbage

· Log in the cart number upon completion on the Cart detailing checklist given to you by your Supervisor

· Check that guests are wearing proper golf attire

· Check that guests are not bringing prohibited items onto property

· Carts must have ice in the coolers and towels rolled correctly in the cup holders (during season) before staging

· Make sure the range balls are completely clean before returning them to the range ball bin

· It is also your responsibility to ensure that every rental club is returned from the course at the end of each day

· Rental Club Inventory must be done every night

· Keep the guests’ experience in mind and how each task you do will affect it

· Complete all duties when opening or closing FIT office/cart facility

· Work closely with inside golf staff regarding all group events by obtaining details about the event and following through with assistance in providing bag tags and cart signs

· Follow procedures regarding bag storage operations

· Greet all guests including non-golfers as they walk through the staging area

· Stage golf carts for daily play

· Assist guests with equipment to and from parking lot

· Load and unload bags on carts from guest's carts and bag storage.

· Properly maintain golf carts (charge battery, wipe down carts, etc.)

· Assist cart washers with detailing

· Assist retail staff with the moving of boxes, 30 pounds or larger, from storage to pro shop

· Assist other departments with special events

· Perform general cleaning tasks

· Ability to maneuver a golf cart through congested areas

· Ability to lift golf bags in and out of carts

· Ability to walk up and down steep cart paths

· Ability to work during adverse weather conditions

· Ability to tolerate different weather conditions (90% of time is spent outdoors)

· Ability to replace water jugs when empty, lifting up to 30 pounds

· Must have a valid driver’s license

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $7.25 - $13.50 per hour
