We represent a diverse group of interesting clients, which include private equity firms, founders, startups, venture capital investors, family offices and public companies (among others), in sophisticated and complex legal matters and transactions.
We are seeking a talented and energetic attorney with at least three (3) years of experience providing legal counsel and representation in matters involving employment laws and practices, workplace disputes and compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active law license in Illinois or another state
- Proactive problem-solver with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong collaborator and communicator with good analytical, writing and communication skills
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment that is on a growth trajectory
- Candidates located in the Chicagoland area prioritized
Ideal Experience
· Familiarity with employment and labor laws including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and state equivalents, regulations and administrative guidance
· Experience litigating single-plaintiff employment discrimination cases in front of administrative agencies (EEOC and IDHR) and in federal and state courts
· Experience drafting employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, separation agreements, employee handbooks and other related documents and/or agreements
· Experience with and/or a willingness to provide M&A support as the labor & employment specialist
· Any experience with labor/collective bargaining, class or collective employment cases is a plus
Compensation
Base salary of $225,000-$300,000, depending on experience and hours commitment, with competitive bonuses paid annually.
