What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Supervisor at Warren Street Hotel position at Crosby Hotel LLC?
The Engineer Supervisor will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs in guest suites, meeting spaces, restaurant and common areas. The maintenance engineer will also perform repairs on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanical equipment. Additional repairs may involve electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Supports Chief Engineer with engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel property, restaurant and grounds.
- Supports hotel engineering maintenance programs and executes daily, weekly, and monthly checklist.
- Perform walkthroughs updating logs and reporting any immediate issues to Director of Engineering / Chief engineer. Takes appropriate steps towards making necessary repairs.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance work orders: Monitors and maintain all engineering equipment. Maintain guest rooms. Check HVAC equipment (boilers, chillers, air handling units, water pumps, exhaust fans; change filters, belts, bearings, fans, insulation, and drain pans.
- Troubleshoot and repair locks as needed, TV’s, phones and lighting system.
- Comfortable with manual handling
- Flexible work hours
REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer literate and knowledge of (BMS) Building Management System
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance engineering experience in hotel properties
- Excellent level of spoken and written English
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to prioritize when faced with multiple projects simultaneously
- General understanding of HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry concepts
- Certification in above trades, completion of seminar for specialized training such as Fire Safety Director, FDNY COF’s for Sprinkler & Standpipe, back-up generator preferred
- Knowledge of HOTSOS preferred
- Possession the following Certificates of Fitness preferred
- F-58 (FSD)
- S-13 (City Wide Stand Pipe)
- S-12 (City Wide Sprinkler)
- P-98 (Fuel Piping)
- P-99 (Low Pressure Boiler)
