Job Responsibilities
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will assist the physician with catheterization of the heart and other minimally invasive procedures. You will work in an operating room, cardiac Cath lab or similar healthcare facility, preparing equipment, assisting surgeons, monitoring patient vitals, and maintaining sterile conditions.
Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Preparing patients for angioplasty, ablation, embolization, stenting, thrombolysis, or biopsies
- Assisting with imaging and diagnostic procedures
- Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Communicating effectively with the healthcare team
Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in interventional radiology
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license
