Job Summary
Samba Care is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Westwood, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and producing diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms for patient examinations
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images
- Position patients and equipment, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort
- Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences
- Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring safety and following procedures to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure
- Produce diagnostic images, report important information to the Physician, and update patient records
- Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor radiographic supplies
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions and scheduling appointments
- Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment
