We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Body Shop Estimator to join our team. Responsibilities
- Evaluate damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs required to restore them to pre-accident condition.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repair costs, including parts, labor, and additional services.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the repair process and answer any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure accurate assessments and timely repairs.
- Manage cash handling transactions related to estimates and repairs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques, tools, and technologies.
- Assist in the sales process by promoting additional services such as oil changes, diesel engine repairs, or suspension work (shocks/struts).
- Transmit estimates and necessary documentation to insurance companies as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or in automotive repair is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including air brake systems and diesel engines.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Previous experience in automotive sales is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- A valid driver's license is required; familiarity with various vehicle makes and models is advantageous.
