Electrician- Ripon

• Shift/Schedule: Typically, 12-hour shifts 6 days per week during pack. Pack for Ripon typically begins mid-late June and can end as late as mid-end of November. Halfway through the season (usually September) mechanics will switch shifts so everyone gets the same time on days and nights. During the off-season, schedule changes to 5 8-hour days or 4 10-hour days per week.
• Supervisors do work with employees to accommodate needed time off using vacation or personal time. During the season, we do not usually give days off (other than the one scheduled day per week). Mechanics are welcome to switch days amongst themselves but are expected to communicate changes with their supervisor. All requested time off is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  
  

Maintenance Mechanic

Assigned mechanical job duties to maintain and repair food processing equipment. Completes repairs during the processing season to meet production goals. Overhaul and install plant equipment during non-production periods to be ready for the next scheduled production run.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, repair and maintain machinery, and equipment throughout the facility
• Trouble shoot, repair, and replace machinery as required
• Read sketches and blueprints to determine layout of assigned work
• Design, fabricate, weld, and install equipment as required
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and PM completed
• Monitor equipment operation making any necessary adjustments
• Ensure that GMP's (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced

Qualifications:

Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Pay Range: $23 - $30 per hour depending on experience and knowledge level.

Plant Info: Ripon has 4 large warehouses and handles labeling, shipping, and receiving. During production, the plant processes canned green beans and carrots. The production area includes both indoor and outdoor aspects for snipping, blanching, cooking, etc.

Electrician Job Description

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment throughout the facility.
• Repair, replace, and upgrade electrical components as necessary.
• Read electrical diagrams, blueprints, and sketches to determine layout and work specifics.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, control systems, and electrical apparatus in plant machinery.
• Ensure all work adheres to electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) performed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure production equipment operates efficiently.
• Monitor equipment operation and perform necessary adjustments for optimal performance.
• Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 - 3 years of electrical experience in manufacturing and/or food processing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Solid understanding of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work long hours during the production season and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
