Mission and Main Responsibilities
Build relationships with suppliers to resolve and optimize material supply chain challenges
Responsible for material inventories for a specified category to support finished goods production plans, minimize obsolescence and provide overall cost containment
Track and report key KPIs obsolescence, supplier inventory levels, days inventory outstanding (DOI), service
Lead issue resolution on behalf of Materials Team, identify and communicate risks to cross-functional team
Support innovation / renovation projects through internal system set up, supplier set up, etc.
Manage and develop Material Planning team, fostering high team morale and delivering on key KPIs
Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic growth plans
Standardize and document team processes, Identify process gaps and opportunities for improved efficiencies
Participate in weekly team meetings with S&OP counterparts to drive a culture of engagement and teamwork across the S&OP organization
Requirements
Minimum 5 years Supply Chain experience in CPG including Supply Planning / Material Planning
Minimum 2 years Management experience
B.A. in Supply Chain / Logistics or related degree.
Functional Competencies needed
Demonstrated understanding of supply chain processes and safety
stock optimization strategies.
Demonstrated understanding of materials management & supplier
management.
SAP / APO knowledge a plus.
APICS certification desired.
Ability to set deadlines and key timetables to achieve with minimal
guidance.
Ability to work effectively in teams and ensure mutual KPIs achieved.
