Job Description:
The Construction Project Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects by assisting in project planning, document management, and coordination efforts. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination & Support:
- Assist Senior Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and managing project needs.
- Support in writing proposals, subcontracts, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Track and manage invoices, safety plans, RFIs, and submittals.
- Ensure compliance with project-specific requirements and documentation.
- Project Documentation & Software Utilization:
- Maintain and organize project documentation using Procore software for seamless correspondence and document control.
- Update project schedules, reports, and logs as required.
- Assist in preparing meeting minutes, reports, and progress updates.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain clear and professional communication while representing the company.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to track material deliveries and project timelines.
- Project Familiarization & Compliance:
- Develop a thorough understanding of project scope, drawings, and specifications.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Ensure that all project-related documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
Basic Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of construction commercial experience is required.
- Federal/Government/City construction experience is HIGHLY desired.
- Proficiency in Procore software (training will be provided if necessary).
- CQMC certification or willingness to obtain it within a designated time frame.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with contract management and procurement processes.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required
