POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Has project Engineering responsibility for the manufacturing facility. This role reports to the Plant Engineer.

Project Engineer
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Has project Engineering responsibility for the manufacturing facility. This role reports to the Plant Engineer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Acts as Engineering point of contact for facility internal customers:
- Provide technical assistance as required
- Attend facility leadership meetings
- Provides project management and expertise for all capital projects:
- Identifies, creates, and submits necessary documents for CAPEX approval
- Review Capital Projects Contracts
- Create POs (Purchase Orders) for Capital Projects
- Coordinate and lead multi-functional teams within the project
- Track and manage Capital and Project Expense
- Schedules, directs, and inspects the work of contractors/vendors
- Reports on progress and conformance to project work plans
- Manages project schedules, budgets and cashflows
- Demonstrate proficiency for Danone Engineering Standards
- Responds to emergency calls, as needed
- And other duties as assigned

- Ability to prepare plans and detailed reports and to maintain records.
- Ability to plan and supervise the work of contractors.
- Solid engineering technical base refined with plant experience
- General knowledge of plant operations
- Exposure to ESL/aseptic and food safety regulations - PMO, 3A and FDA
- Exposure to food and beverage packaging & processing equipment
- Ability to analyze, compare, and recommend engineering proposals
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills
