Job Description
As an AVP of Procurement, you will play a critical role in supporting and developing the enterprise-wide procurement function at Cross River. You will report directly to the head of the group, who reports to the CFO, and work closely with various stakeholders across the organization to drive strategic sourcing activities and achieve expense discipline goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Cross River's strategic sourcing initiatives to develop and expand the procurement function within the enterprise
- Managing T&E and non-T&E reimbursement requests, ensuring accurate and timely budget allocation and tracking
- Leading expense savings activities within several procurement categories, including IT spend, to reach expense discipline goals and optimize vendor agreement terms
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a smooth review and approval process for sourcing requisitions
- Managing contract negotiations with vendors to maximize enterprise savings and rationalize costs
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a public financial services firm, preferably in a procurement or sourcing function, with IT procurement experience being a plus
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to build financial models in Excel and communicate complex concepts simply
- A team player with executive presence, able to work collaboratively across the organization
