Job Title: Full Time Loan Operations Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Operations Specialist to join our team at the credit union. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the loan processing and servicing functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process loan applications and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Review and verify loan files for compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist members with inquiries regarding loan products, terms, and application status.
- Maintain accurate records of loan transactions and updates in the loan management system.
- Collaborate with underwriting and other departments to facilitate timely loan approvals and disbursements.
- Monitor loan performance and assist in the payment process where applicable.
- Provide training and support to staff on loan operations procedures and systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to loan operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least one year or more of previous experience in loan operations or a similar role within a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of loan products, processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using loan management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with members and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
