Crossfire Aggregate Services is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Support Coordinator to be the heartbeat of our safety program. Based in Ignacio, Colorado, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $75,000 per year, based on experience. This is an in-person position and our office hours are 7:30 to 4:00 Monday thru Friday.
Key Responsibilities
As our Safety Support Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for employees and leadership regarding safety training, compliance, OSHA/MSHA regulations, and program management. Your daily responsibilities will include:
Employee Training & Onboarding
· Serve as the face of the Safety Department, assisting employees with internal and external training needs.
· Facilitate safety onboarding orientations and track employee training records through SiteDocs
OSHA & MSHA Compliance
· Maintain and track documents required by OSHA and MSHA regulations, ensuring full compliance.
· Prepare and update OSHA 300 logs and safety-related reports for regulatory agencies.
· Assist wit OSHA/MSHA site inspections, ensuring all records and safety documentations are up to date.
DOT Operator Qualifications (OQ) Program Management
· Oversee the DOT OQ Program through ISNET World, Energy Net, and Veriforce.
· Coordinate third-party trainers, track certifications, and communicate with client representative.
Incident & Claims Support
· Assist Human Resources with Worker’s Compensation claims, tracking employee appointments and claim timelines.
· Act as the company liaison with insurance providers on claims related to worker’s compensation, property damage, or motor vehicle incidents.
Drug and Alcohol Testing Compliance
· Coordinate new hire and random drug testing through local vendors and manage the DISA Drug & Alcohol Consortium Program.
· Serve as the Designated Employee Representative (DER) and identify authorized testing sites.
· Experience managing DOT PHMSA, FMCSA, and Non-DOT consortiums is a plus.
Safety Metrics & Audits
· Process and analyze field data to generate safety performance metrics.
· Prepare presentations, training bulletins, and toolbox talks for leadership.
· Support safety audits, working with client representatives, insurance providers, and regulatory officials.
Procurement & Inventory
· Oversee the purchasing and tracking of safety related materials, ensuring proper inventory control.
Skills and Qualifications
· We’re seeking a detail orientated and proactive professional with the following:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
· Experience with safety management systems (ISNET World, Verifoce, NCMS, Avetta, SiteDocs, DISA) is a plus.
· Strong writing skills, including policy development, document tracking, and regulatory reporting.
· Excellent communication skills to collaborate with leadership and field teams.
· Experience maintaining compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT (PHMSA, FMCSA), and industry-specific regulations.
· Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees.
· Ability to prioritize and shift focus in a fast paced, growing company.
· Experience in a construction related office is preferred by not required.
